Meet Darlene Cempa, our intrepid Finance Officer. With us since 2014, Darlene is a CPA and has 30+ years of experience in both the for profit and not for profit sectors. Among her many talents, Darlene is an accomplished runner; starting at 40, and running several half marathons, and a full marathon at 43. With her husband Greg, she traveled to Haiti with SUNY Broome multiple times to promote better health outcomes and clean water. This program will grant up to $20,000 to organizations in Broome, Chenango, Tioga, Delaware and Otsego for: program development, capacity building, general operating, capital projects and some economic development activities.

πŸšœβ—β—β—β—Funding opportunity for Delaware County Farms! Informational Q&A session TOMORROW!
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Eligible Delaware County farm businesses are invited to apply for financial assistance up to $25,000 for implementing infrastructure projects that will improve operations OR up to $5,000 payment for 2022 crop input expenses. The competitive grants program is offered in response to challenging economic conditions experienced by farms resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, including disrupted markets and supply-chains which have increased input costs and price volatility and the need to adapt to emerging market opportunities.
DEADLINE
Applications for round one are due by 4:00 pm September 2, 2022
