We just released $110,00 of grant funding related to the COVID-19 crisis to the region.  COVID-19 Grants Made to Non-profits

The COVID-19 pandemic presents us with an extraordinarily challenging crisis for our communities. We have been talking every day with other funders, United Ways, and donors to formulate a strategic response to community needs. Non-profits, especially those providing essential needs such as health care, child care, food, and social services, are still working to provide those needs often with reduced staff and dwindling resources. So we can better support our most rural communities, we have opened the CFSCNY COVID-19 Response Fund at the foundation with an initial distribution  of $80,000 from our own special funds. If you would like to help us help them serve the neediest in the region, please click here to donate.

The Community Foundation offices are closed as of March 17, 2020 and will reopen when safe to do so. We will still be working and will be available via voicemail or email, so don’t hesitate to be in touch should you need us.

We have created a Facebook group just for CNY organizations that are responding to COVID-19. The page is for non-profits and others in our 5-county region to share information about what they are doing, coordinate services with others, ask for assistance pushing out opportunities, and to receive support/advice from others. Follow this link to join! https://www.facebook.com/groups/CNYORGS/
